Automate Investigations

Helping law enforcement locate victims and perpetrators of illegal harmful content
We work closely with law enforcement to fight against Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), Terrorist and Violent Extremist Content (TVEC), Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII), and other types of illegal harmful content. Our video identification tool can enable quick recognition of illegal content both online and on seized hard drives.
Find and help victims faster
With help from our partners at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), we're able to arm law enforcement with a fast and effective tool for tracing and identifying harmful content as it spreads across the web. Our video and image identification technology allows your team to search against reference databases (such as NCMEC's) to effectively track the distribution of harmful content online and rescue victims from harm.
Designed with law enforcement initiatives in mind:
-
Quickly detect illegal harmful content
-
Cut down the duration of investigation
-
Efficiently track the distribution of illegal content
-
Rescue victims and persecute perpetrators of illegal harmful content

Supporting Interpol in the fight against CSAM
Dismantling and disrupting the harm caused by Child Sexual Abuse Material is our number one priority, and is the most important work we can focus our technology's capabilities towards. That's why we partner with Interpol, the international criminal police organization, to help fight against the spread of abusive content.
Streamlined detection for speedy investigations
Compared to more primitive methods of video identification, our unrivaled, highly advanced approach provides law enforcement teams with the ability to quickly search content against a data provider's reference server to detect illegal content and address ongoing abuse.

Descriptor tool hashes illegal content with easily matchable code, enabling fast detection of modified content

Illegal content is fingerprinted and saved as hash file in a provider's database

Law enforcement can then search content against a provider's reference database via Videntifier's query portal.

Hotlines and law enforcement

Hotlines operate as a bridge between citizens and law enforcement. Their analysts review reported content and relay the information to law enforcement. Hotlines such as NCMEC’s CyberTipline alerts the online service provider where the harmful content was posted so that it can be removed from social spaces while law enforcement addresses the situation. Videntifier's query database allows hotlines to identify content in other data provider's reference collections, including that of law enforcement, creating an ecosystem of shared information.
